Family fun in store at Fairer Food decision day event

Come along and enjoy some fantastic, free family activities at Eglinton Park on Saturday 8 June 2019 as part of North Ayrshire Council’s Fairer Food decision day event.

The participatory budgeting process, which kicked off earlier this year, invited individuals and groups to bid for up to £1250 to help fund initiatives that improve access to food in their communities, with residents asked to come along to the decision day event at the park’s Racquet Hall to hear all about the projects and vote for their favourites.

As well as voting, you’ll also be able to enjoy cooking demonstrations, a food growing workshop with Eglinton Growers, a Bling it Bike arts and crafts session with the Active Travel team, guided walks with the Countryside Rangers, multisports activities and health checks from KA Leisure, a silent disco, kids’ face painting, information stalls and more.

The event runs from 10.30 am to 1.00 pm and voting is open to anyone who lives, works or volunteers in the North Ayrshire.
