Have Your say on how part of the Grounds Maintenance budget for open spaces in your area!
What is Grounds Maintenance Participatory Budgeting?
Participatory Budgeting encourages communities to decide how to spend an allocated portion of a budget. Following a successful pilot in the Three Towns Locality, North Ayrshire Council has approved the roll-out of the initiative to out 5 remaining localities.. This means more local communities will have the opportunity to influence how some of the money allocated to grounds maintenance in their area is spent
Earlier this year, drop-in sessions and an on-line survey gathered suggestions from residents across the Localities.
These ideas have been collated and the most popular ideas are now available for residents to ‘vote for their top 3 suggestions’
Voting can be done via ‘post cards’ in Community Centres or in Libraries or on-line at www.north-ayrshire.gov.uk/yourenvironment.
The top 3 suggestions will be implemented in each Locality.
Voting is open until 31 May 2019.
