Housing Services are proposing to build a 24 unit housing development at Dickson Drive, Irvine. There will be a mix of general needs, amenity bungalows and wheelchair liveable homes. The site will also incorporate 2 sustainable houses.

The land currently occupied by the Redburn Youth Centre will also be used and the Youth Association and related activities will be relocated into the Redburn Community Centre. The Association supports this proposal.

Final plans for the new development are available below for you to view.

‘Update 9/01/2018’

Further to the draft plans consultation on 27 September 2017 and the final plans consultation on 30 November 2017, I can advise that the plans for the new build development at Dickson Drive, Irvine have now been finalised, taking the feedback received into account.

The final  design, site  layout  and  a  summary  of consultation responses  will be considered by the Elected Members for the site area in the next few months and the plans will also be reviewed by the Housing Revenue Account Business Plan Implementation Group.  Thereafter the Council will tender to appoint a building contractor.

A ‘Meet the Builder’ event will allow surrounding residents to meet the contractor before they go on site to address any queries that they may have in Summer 2018. It is currently anticipated that works will start in Summer 2018 and finish in Summer 2019.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Affordable Housing Team on 01294 324031 or by email to developmentandstrategy@north-ayrshire.gov.uk should you require any additional information or assistance with this matter.
