treasure-chest2North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership and The Scottish Government are jointly funding a £50,000 Participatory Budgeting (PB) initiative to improve mental health and wellbeing in North Ayrshire. Participatory Budgeting is a different way to manage public money and engage people in government, it is a democratic process that gives citizens real power over real money.

Local people and groups are invited to bid for up to £1250 per project to tackle mental health issues, specifically:

  • social isolation
  • stress and anxiety
  • young people’s mental health (12-25yrs)

Online applications for bids (plus guidance) can be made at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/MentalHealthPB
