Participatory budgeting (PB) is a new way for Communities to decide what projects and activities in their own area they would like to fund.

A pot of funding has been allocated from various Partner organisations for local organisations, groups or individuals to make a difference.

They can apply to make ‘a pitch’ (in the style of Dragon’s Den!) to their local communities (usually around 3 minutes each) then the Community votes for their favourite after hearing from all of them.

Participatory Budgeting will arrive in Arran sometime in October.
