North Ayrshire Council have been awarded funding through the Switched on Towns and Cities Programme. Together with the Energy Saving Trust, we are now exploring options for future electric vehicle charging infrastructure (EV charge points) and need your help to identify local priorities.

Consultation Start Date: 7th September 2018
Consultation End Date: 31st October 2018

Why We Are Consulting?

Local knowledge and experience will help ensure that recommendations within the report take into consideration local conditions and opinion.
This engagement process will help to ensure that recommendations are made for the delivery of EV infrastructure which will:

  • Maximise the end user convenience
  • minimise technical difficulty of installation
  • minimise the risk of installing charging infrastructure which is subject to low volume of use
  • CONSULTATION UPDATE
  • The survey results have contributed to the Switched on Towns Feasibility Study and our next steps will be for the Council to apply for Round 2 of the Challenge Fund which is expected to open for applications early 2020.

The feedback has helped us shape the Council’s EV Strategy and work towards our goal to become a net-zero carbon local authority.
