· Accessibility – assistance for disadvantaged groups to participate in commemorative events that are taking place in 2018.

· Community based events and activities that help raise awareness of the centenary – funding for groups to help deliver activities which are open to the public and which have the aim of raising awareness of the anniversary.

· Community based events or activities which share or investigate the impact of the war on the local area – initiatives which encourage people to consider what life was like 100 years ago or, what impact the war had on the local area e.g. community spirit, families, industry, agriculture and diet, sport and leisure, travel, women’s role in society etc.
