During 2019, North Ayrshire Council will be working with the local community to decide a new set of priorities for Kilwinning’s Future — which will then feed into how the Council and Kilwinning Locality Partnership deliver services, invest and plan or the future, and support community-led action.

This is a new way of working. Rather than the Council makes the decisions, it wants to help Kilwinning decide for itself. The Council won’t always be able to do everything that everybody wants, but it wants to have an honest and open conversation about Kilwinning’s Future.

Kilwinning’s Future plan will be up to the local community: it will be Kilwinning’s plan. The Council doesn’t want to tell you what should be in the plan. But it would like your plan to be ambitious, and include proposals that will really make a difference to problems of health inequality, poverty and deprivation in Kilwinning. There will be money available to make things happen through the Council’s Community Investment Fund and Participatory Budgeting, so this will not just be pie-in-the-sky

How will the plan be created? During May and June, there will be online activity, public events and youth consultations. We’ll create the plan “live” with you. Keep an eye on this website and Facebook to have your say!

The first step of the process is collecting as many different ideas as possible of what people would like to see in Kilwinning’s Future.
