North Coast people are invited to a public drop in session on revisions to the Halkshill and Blair Park forestry proposals. Two sessions are arranged, one taking place between 2pm- 4pm and the other 6pm -8pm on Monday 24 April 2017. You do not need to attend both sessions, and anyone can attend.

The venue for the sessions is Brisbane Suite Function Room, Brisbane House Hotel, 14 Greenock Road, Largs, KA30 8NE.

Representatives from the forestry applicants will be present to discuss particular aspects of the proposals, including:

– public access

– visual impacts

– potential for a community woodland/future
for recreation

Council Officers from Connected Communities will be facilitating discussions in strictly an independent capacity.

UPDATE 14/08/2017

A public workshop was held on 27 April 2017. The purpose of this was to facilitate public views on the forestry proposals. A good number of people shared constructive points, which were shared with the applicant.
